Drones, recognized as game-changers in various industries, are becoming star players in classrooms, providing students with hands-on experiences in designing, building, programming, and operating these high-tech devices! The dynamic duo of STEM and drones not only makes learning more engaging but also ensures students are well-equipped to contribute to ground breaking advancements in the ever-evolving tech landscape. Kids will also discover drones' expanding role in agriculture, surveying, rescue missions, and entertainment. It's not just education; it's a journey into the future!  Get ready for a sky-high blast at Kara Ged Holliday Program!

Day Two

Day two at Kara Ged Holliday Program is all about business fun! Kids take charge of their own drone companies, acting as directors. They will structure their business by creating business names, selecting products, budget planning, clients selection and drone delivery practice  — a unique program that combines business and drone skills. They will also use LEGO to build their unique attachment to their drones. It's a challenge that blends teamwork and drone excitement! At the end, they'll present their businesses as if they were the real deal. The top performers earn cool badges, making it a day where creativity and drone skills shine!

Day One

On day one, we will start with manual flight training. Get set for some serious fun as kids become masters of freestyle flying, doing flips, and even getting their drones to carry cool objects. We're also diving into the wild world of coding, where our young pilots will build unique flight paths for their drones. It's not just about flying; it's a creative explosion, a journey into the limitless excitement of drone exploration! Get ready to soar and let the fun take flight!

What is the structure of a day at camp?

Each day is divided into 1.5 - 2 hour sessions of fun, creative learning with three breaks for crunch & sip, recess and lunch so the kids can have play.

What time is drop off and pick-up time?

Drop-off is from 9:00-9:30 am and pick-up is 3:00-3:30 pm. We offer extend hours from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.

Does my child need to bring a device?

We provide iPad and drones to all students.

What should I pack in my child's bag each day?

We recommend bringing the water bottle and a nut-free packed crunch and sip, recess, and lunch.

How many kids are in each class?

We have some of the best student-teacher ratios to ensure every child has a positive experience. Most of our classes are capped at 15 students with a 1:8 teacher-student ratio.

Do they have to have prior experience?

Our Drone Camp is suitable for absolute beginners.

Can I stay with my child?

Our camps are well staffed and we do not have parents stay for the day.

My child is younger than the specified age, can they attend? Can my younger child attend with an older sibling?

If a child is with 12 months of the recommended age it is up to the parent to determine if the child is capable. Our camps are structured for the specified age range and with 1:8 ratios, so one on one support for a younger child will not be available. Unless the child is displaying maturity levels and academic capabilities of an older child, we don’t recommend it.
